in utero
I have realized that what I've been doing up to this point is waiting. Actively waiting for my world to be different. Laying foundation to be someone else. That has to stop, I have to be who I want to be now. Will future me stand for the wallowing that I'm doing now? Future and Present must meet, but will I procrastinate that union till future me yields to the me of yesteryear? Will I procrastinate destiny in hopes of it finding me?

Out of Iron I Emerge
Resilience is a very grueling trait to have. It means you are wont to walk down paths sprinkled with potholes and thorns, still ploding on with a smile and a song.
Today is a new day for me, a dawning of a brighter day. A new era. I honestly don't know if this new epoch will be better than the last but it will begin humbly. I'm making no promises to you, I'm making no promises as to the end result, but I know that improvements will be made.
I will not be tired. I will not cry. I will be better. I will be best.

pain leads to success
Day Two:
Apologizing to the masses for not reporting on Day One of the Jogging Plan. So yesterday was epic! I ran 2 and a half laps around the sports/shopping complex on 39th and Park Ave. Not an epic length but really after 2 asthma attacks can you blame me for being crazy excited that I furfilled anything i set my mind on. Mental High Five!
Day Two (continued):
Didn't wake up at 6 AM, I woke up at 8:30. Taylor texted me to tell me not to call because she was already at work. At 6, remind you that I was asleep. I told her it was okay when I woke up. She asked how my work out went. I was gonna wimp out and not go on a jog, and do push ups and situps instead. But once it was asked, the gauntlet had been thrown! Guess who jogged 1 lap and had to walk off the chest problems for the next lap. What a shame, I did well though.
I felt way good after though so no problem.

I officially love Sister Beck
So before tonight I was a dyed in the wool nay sayer of Sister Beck. But after tonight I have turned the corner. She was the speaker at NYC Regional YSA fireside tonight at Lincoln Center Building ajoining the Temple. She really just opened it up for questions and taught from the scriptures.
I learned so much about following what the Lord has for us to do. Knowing also that the path that we will follow will be rough and will bring us anguish, but is altogether for our on good. She also had some great insights on what it takes to find the person who you will spend the rest of your life with. She doesn't believe in soulmates and I'm leaning toward her view that we are supposed to be with a person who is as strong and dedicated to the Gospel as yourself and will do their best to get to the Celestial Kingdom with you. There is more but I'll keep it to myself to feast and cherish. I wish there was more that she had time to speak on.
Jury duty tomorrow. Civic duty. yay.

great day!
So today was a great day! I woke up totally refreshed, and knew right off the bat that that wasn't a good thing because I was supposed to wake up early and type up a proposal for the Comp II class this afternoon. Needless to say I just showered and went to school knowing I'd get it done some how.
American Government was brief. Just a test (was it the midterm?) and I was out of there. Hederlyn and I got some spanish food yum! Then I went to the Writing Center and blasted out the proposal in an hour and fifteen minutes=)! Comp II was fun.
So to the best parts of the day! I went to B&H Photo in the city to look at equipment. I bought a 28-70mm for my XS. But the 50mm Prime lens is what caught my eye! Look at some of the test shots!

Later that night went to Fanwood to catch Charlie's new play "Curtains" so good!
Here's my favorite shot from the show!

I'm happy to say that today was a great day. I'm tired so I'll not get into it, but lets just say that Ute Red is looking really good right now.

it starts....on monday
I'm starting a diet...not today! Terrible to say that if I don't keep to this one I'll loose all sorts of self-respect, but I'm GOING to do it! I need to be 210 or less by October 1st. Granted I weigh 245 (read sometimes 260) it shouldn't be hard with diet and consistent cardio. We all KNOW how I love talking about the gym don't we? Well I'm going to start hating it with a passion now.
On the home front: I've cleaned and organized a whole TWO shelves on my reprobate bookshelf! (How crazy awesome is that?) I've found out that I miss having less stuff. Everytime i look at all my stuff I wish I had less. Weird I know, but Having less was such a boon on the mission I'm going to replicate it again. Disclaimer: I'm not talking about clothes or shoes. They will not get thrown out.
Wish me luck

Hey!!!
My last blog lasted 20 minutes. Just 20 minutes! It was some hogwash about photography and working out. Just working out and photography - what was I thinking?
I'm going to write whatever comes to mind and throw in whatever happened to me that day. Here goes:
I probably had my last take out Chinese food for a while. Not only is my tummy hurting but I braved slushy-already fallen snow, and fluffy just-started snow in flip flops and no jacket. Luckily I made it there and back without any incident, but never again...well until I give in to the MSG and grease.
I'm going to hit the gym tomorrow after class, that is if I develop a backbone and actually get on with it.
